Labor of Love
The Golden Duck Award is a labor of love. Duckon is our local convention which gives us the money for the awards but many hundreds of hours of time in looking for award worthy books at ALA and various bookstores, reading the materials, writing content, and contacting authors and publishers. If you have time or materials to donate, please contact us.
In addition to the awards, it takes many volunteer hours to have a fun convention which is our major fundraiser. We are an official 501C3 organization. |
